OXO is a true advocate of universal design. ELEVEN and OXO have been close partners for over 20 years, designing over 200 products. ELEVEN’s work for OXO is all about problem solving and creating user-centered solutions. Together, we have been creating clean, innovative, ergonomic designs, that enable and empower humans.

For this project, OXO reached out to ELEVEN to identify opportunities for better tech cleaning solutions. ELEVEN began observing users and current behaviors around cleaning personal tech devices. It was discovered that there was a wide range of debris that needed to be cleaned. ELEVEN set out to design solutions that could easily clean dust, crumbs, smudges, and grime from tech devices. Through brainstorms, ideation, and mock-up testing, ELEVEN was able to design and engineer a set of products that solved the tech cleaning challenge.

The OXO Good Grips Sweep & Swipe Laptop Cleaner keeps laptops and tablets free of crumbs, fingerprints, dust and debris. The retractable brush sweeps away dirt and crumbs, while the specially shaped microfiber cleaning pad reaches into corners to clean smudges, oils and fingerprints. The storage cap protects the cleaner when not in use. The compact design can be stored in a desk drawer or in a laptop bag. It can be used on laptops, phones, and tablets. The microfiber and bristles can be easily washed and rinsed with water.
